The Story

After searching all over the West for the perfect piece of property, Fred & Jean Winnie finally stumbled upon the parcel of land that Camp Teton sits on today in Teton Valley, ID. Purchasing the land in 1976, Fred & Jean traveled to the property every year to camp in their travel trailer while they cleared out brush and trees to make way for their cabin.

A few years later, after drafting up the plans for the cabin, Fred and Jean begun to build their cabin on the land they had worked so hard to prep. After a few years of blood, sweat and tears, it was completed and ready to move in!

With the cabin now established, they could have a basecamp to the incredible adventures around them, and mostly as a means to get closer to all the great fly fishing in the surrounding area.

We hope that we can bring the same excitement to everyone, that Fred & Jean had when they discovered this amazing place. If you’re visiting Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, there’s no better place to stay if you want an unforgettable experience!
